ERC | HK Rescue Solutions

European Resuscitation Council (ERC) certificate courses have already been one of the popular international first aid certificate issuers in Hong Kong from the time before 1997. Being one of the members of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), a network of 32 National Resuscitation Councils (NRCs) represents the ERC at the national level. Each NRC oversees the delivery of guidelines, resuscitation training and quality control in its respective country. The ERC experts contribute actively to the worldwide Consensus on Science and Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR). The ERC publishes European Resuscitation Guidelines, the standard resuscitation practice and training in and beyond Europe.

ERC Basic Life Support (BLS) courses are popular in Hong Kong, especially in lay persons markets, for example construction companies, foreign domestic helpers, etc. In Macao, ERC is one of the main international first aid certificate issuers for first responders or healthcare providers.

Our instructors will illustrate the topics and lead you to go through all hands-on sessions to reinforce your skills proficiency.

Besides our offered sessions, ERC courses can also be booked by request at your designated locations or our training location. Class size is from 6 to 18 usually, depending on the venue size. All certificates valid for 2 years.

For your option, a corporate certificate from HK Rescue Solutions Ltd for the corporate class is specially included for recognizing your contribution to safety management. It could become an indispensable part of your company's corporate image.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The ERC’s BLS Course is designed for anyone without any prior knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), or without any valid first aid certificates, but need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. This full provider course takes 6 hours to complete, including theoretical and practical sessions as well as skill assessments.

It includes:

Recognition of cardiac arrest - the chain of survival
CPR for adults, children, and infants
Use of an AED
Recovery position
Choking
BLS in infants and children
Specific circumstances

Basic Life Support Refresher (BLSR)

For those who had learned CPR with the use of AED and with any valid first aid certificates (including the flexible period for recertification), ERC's BLS Refresher Course is highly recommended. This refresher course takes 4 hours to complete, including revision of all skills, updated information, and skill assessments.
